Educare for school teachers and educationists. Courses
were also arranged for office Bearers of the Sri Sathya
Sai Seva Organisation in Mumbai, Prasanthi Nilayam, Kolkata

| The first Convention of representatives
of Sathya sai schools in india & Past Diploma students
of the institute was held in Dharmakshetra in February
2006. Sri V. Srinivasan, All India President, and Dr.
Art Ong Jumsai, Director of the institute of Sathya Sai
Education in Thailand, were the Guests of Honour. Following
the decisions taken in the Convention, a series of 15
short term Courses on Educare were organized in 13 States
attended by1201 States attended by 1201 teachers (76%)
from 92 Sathya Sai Schools. |

OF SATHYA SAI SCHOOLS |

Educare curriculum imparted in all 99 Sathya Sai Schools

| DIPLOMA COURSES IN SRI SATHYA
SAI EDUCARE |
| form 2003, the institute in Dharmakshetra has been conducting
45-days intensive, tesidential Courses for teachers and educators
on the philosophy & practice of Sai Sathya Educare. The curriculum
includes practice teaching in Sathya Sai School for one week and presentations
by all the participants. img Many dignitaries visited the Institute
during the Diploma Course. So far 12 Courses have been completed.
131 participants from 18 States in India have attended the Course.
The Course has also attracted 55 participants from 27 overseas countries.
Twelve participants returned to the Institute for a further indepth
study on a subject of their choice, and have qualified for a n Advanced
Diploma. The 13th Diploma Course will begin on Sunday, 4th April and
end on Sunday , 16th May, 2010. The 14th Course will begin on Sunday,
19th September and end on Sunday, 31st October 2010. VALUE FESTIVALS
To promote Unity among Sathya Sai Schools, and to encourage creative
expressions of the students, Value Festivals were initiated during
2008-09. So far, five Regional Value Festivals for boys have been
organized - in Chennai, Indore, Navasari, Baripada and Bhanjanagar.
Festivals for girl students have been planned during 2009-10 in Dharmakshetra
(Mumbai), Dharwar (Karnataka) and New Delhi. |

| SUMMER CERTIFICATE COURSES
FOR TEACHERS |
| In order to bring uniformity in approach, and promote
quality education in all 99 Sathya Sai Schools in
india, large scale intensive 3-week residential training Courses
for teachers were organized at various Centres in India during the
summer of 2009. Twelve such Courses were conducted in 9 Centres all
over India. This was followed by a 6-day practice teaching by each
teacher in own school under supervision of a Master Trainer |

| Nine Certificate Courses are being organised during
the summer of 2010; these fully residential Courses will enroll about
200 teachers from Sathya Sai Schools in India. |

| SRI SATHYA SAI EDUCARE CURRICULUM |
| The Sri Sathya Sai Education ( India ) in Human Values
programme had its beginnings 40 years ago in a non - formal values
education activity guided and inspired by Sri Sathya Sai Baba. Since
then, it bas evolved in a systematic manner, fine tuned and articulated
in the light of experience, and is currently being used in
over 150 countries. The programme covers the entire range
of Primary and Secondary schooling, backed up by teacher preparation,
research and evaluation, and published course materials. |
| Research over the years in several countries has convincingly
demonstrated that the children involved in the Sathya Sai Education
( India ) programme have developed more positive personalities. They
were more respectful towards their teachers, parents and elders. They
were more law abiding, more caring and tolerant, more willing to give
voluntary service. Also, they worked harder and produced better academic
results. The teachers and the taught both experienced and elevation
in their level of consciousness, and a transformation in their perspective
of llife form a view outwards to a vision within. |

| The Institute of Sathya Sai Education (India) |
| Established in 2000 AD, the Institute is serving as
a Nodal Agency to promote, coordinate & evaluate the value - based
curriculum in all sathya sai Schools in India. To fulfill these objectives,
the Institute is conducting trraining courses for teachers & educators,
developing resource material for teachers & standards and evaluting
quality students, through an Accreditation procedure. |
| In the past, the Institute in Mumbai has worked in collaboration
with Government and other agencies, such as the Navodays Vidyalaya,
Western Railway, Dehil Municipal Corporation, Government of Maharashtra,
Pune Municipal Corporation, Ambuja Cement Schools, etc to provide
inputs of the Sri Sathya Sai Curriculum for Education in Human Values.
To fulfil this goal, the institute conducts training of teachers and
educators in values education. Along with theoretical knowledge, the
teachers are given practical teaching experience. |
A Large number private schools all over the country
has adopted the curriculum.
Teachers from these schools have received training from the institute.
In addition to short duration courses for all the teachers of a single
school, the Institute conducts residential courses of 45 days duration
for experienced educations. Successful participants are awarded a
Diploma in Sathya Sai Educare. Some of the participants return to
the institute for an in - depth Advanced Diploma curriculum. There
is no Tuition fee for the courses. However, participants
pay for course materials and Boarding charges. |

the five Human Value, the five Learning Teachniques, the Integral
Approach & Instructional Methodology, Psychology & Character
Development, Spiritual Practice, Experiential Learning, the Programme
of Implememtation of value-based curriculum in schools and Presentation
skills. |
The Institute located in Dharmakshetra, Mumbai, has
a Resource & Training Centre with a well - equipped library of
books, audio-visual and other materials, dormitories for participants
(separate for ladies & gents) and has a peaceful, spiritually
stimulating environment.
